Thanks for all the kind words!
http://www.aquatuning.de/product_inf...odule-red.html I honestly cannot find any specification on exact amount of heat it transfers, but I would assume less then a 120mm rad, maybe half, so I would expect maybe 40C water, but even so, it will be ok.... However.... Leads me to a question, would -20C chilled water on hotside make the coldside very cold then? I will test this rig shortly after CeBIT, hopefully with the GTX580 SuperOverclocked ![]()

No TEC's are not the best piece of technology.. They will be less efficient with hot side sub zero. I think I would skip TEC if I had a chiller, gains would not be worth the power draw. But of course it wouldn't hurt to test

The colder you can keep the hot side, the colder the cold side will be.
If you have -20*c water on the hot side, I'd expect the cold side somewhere from -40 to -60 depending on the heat load going into it. The colder things get the less heat the TEC can transfer. Something to keep in mind: The TEC just moves heat, which means your water cooling (or whatever) on the hot side has to get rid of all the heat moved, plus all the heat created by the TEC. It can get pretty gnarly if you're trying to cool a cpu or gpu. It should work decently on ram, really. |

No? They're supposed to be 65-70*c between sides in ideal conditions (no heat load), but with only ram heat (15w? 25w?) and a 100w+ tec it seems like it ought to be dropping at least 20*c.
I do know they pretty much crap out entirely around 70 below. Mine gets waaay down there with a small heat load cooled with 10*c water. Getting a thermocouple thermometer later this week so I can find out exactly how cold. |

Nice! Great pictures buddy !! 4 GPU under water is quite insane.
Hope I will go back on mine soon... Oh it's official now, you gat your thread in here ^^

Are you going to skip TEC ? It has great look and I love it.
