xeon cpu's support ECC, and since they carry the mem controller.....

but ECC is kinda tricky thing, I have seen where some kits are fine, and others can have issues

And looks like i980X will be pure Xeon 56xx with just another name, thus having enabled both QPI's, if rumors about working two 980x's in W555 are true
