Those were my load temps at 1600 mhz on the core & 8712 mhz on the memory, both stock volts for core & memory. (1.233v DMM VGPU & ~1.63v Vmem) Anywhere from 30-35c depending on how high my ambient is. My ambient has been really really hot these past few days, it was 40c today outside and my room was real close to 30C when I got the 35c readings at 1600 mhz.
If I turn fans down & pump down and GPU hits like ~38c, it crashes the 1600 mhz OC, so I think my card is really temp sensitive.

I can remount sometime when I get more paste and see if it helps, but it seems my load temps are ~7-10c at 1600 mhz & stock volts.

I have a buddy that was gonna send me some thermal grizzly, right now I'm using Gelid GC extreme but I can use some of that thermal grizzly and see if it drops load temps ~1-2c

Can you try with stock memory clock, it might be issue as well.

Tried stock memory clock, 1610 mhz core with a tiny bit of added Vmem & PEXVDD, as well as 1.265 VGPU. (1600 mhz runs at 1.23 VGPU from DMM)

Still crashed ~2 seconds into FireStrike run

Well, that's it for your GPU then, unless you go way colder (-30 or below).

I have a buddy with a 2988 classified, should i trade him my card so i can use the kingpin XOC bios? I see way more people having better luck with the 2989 sku.

His does 1600 as well, and i can atleast put kingpin XOC bios on the 2988 card, and hopefully get a bit more out if it. Maybe it will scale better with volts, since mine doesnt at all on ambient temps. I saw a few guys in classified thread on this forum hitting over 1700 mhz on ambient watercooling with 1.35-1.5v, hopegully mine will do the same.

(all those people had 2988 sku im pretty sure as well.)

Hi
Is there a way to go above 1.65V with software tool on EVGA GTX 980 Ti Classified?
Best regards.

You try closing and re-opening it? In some software that raises the limit.
