hi barrie, its fine, but usually those high capacitance has kinda high esr as well, so not 'ideal' but prolly of some benefit still, as for 280gtx, i think the switching frequency for gpu is pretty high? 800+khz volterra solution? won't even have enough time to charge up to 2200+

Heres what my hd 5870 turned out like. without the caps the vcore was all over the place, 1.5,1.4,1.3,1.4,1,4 falling and rising all the time thanxs shammy

i also marked for others the + and - points. ppl should still check before soldering, check twice solder once

If I understand correct,
you are adding in new cap's for stabillity?
And using adjustible resistors to adjust the voltage?

Yep, as usual more capacity decrease voltage ripple and noise if properly chosen and solder works done. Adjustable resistors used to tune feedback voltages for DC-DC convertors, which allow us to regulate Vout.

and how do you find out where to solder the new adjustable resistors? The caps don't seem to hard to figure out but the adjustable resistors seem strange

Could be my lack of knowlidge with electronics
