hey guys can anyone confirm exactly what removing the resistor at the bottom of the first post does. Everyone says it's for gpu tweak but since it was posted after saying use hotwire for ov I'm thinking it's needed for hotwire. Also do we need to remove a pgr resistor for hotwire like we did on previous hotwire cards.

Ready to mod my card but just a little confused about everything that is needed. So far I know I have to short ln2 pads and setup hotwire but unsure what to do from there.

Would I be better off doing a vr mod using the hotwire point or is hotwire way to go.

It is my understanding that removing the resistor protects the memory while using GPUTweak. However it also prevents you from being able to use GPUTweak to raise the vmem voltage, meaning that you will need to use the hotwire mod to adjust vmem.

ok cool thanks. Sounds easy enough.

I'm guessing since bridging the ln2 pads unlocks gpu tweak that should be enough for hotwire also.

I'm still not sure if we have to remove a pgr resistor for a full hotwire mod like previous cards.

Bought my first soldering iron and been practicing on an old card. Hopefully I can get my card modded tonight. Really excited to test it out. They look like amazing cards.
