Default Gtx 580 0.1v boot issue

Heya guys,

Reference Gtx 580 on ln2. Was only at the start at about -45c. I set 1.35v in AB then screen when black and pc switched off. Now the card boots at 0.1v core. Memory is also in the lows (0.1v ish aswel). Any idea's what caused this problem? I did have a 100 OHM vr on the vcore mod but was using software at the time.

Thanks.. i know im not giving a lot of info to go on but i don't know what the problem could be.

Yea thats one of the things i did 1st.

When i measure FB it looks fine. Maybe the controller just died? I might try zombie Vcore but then what about the other voltages, think my card is just deaad

hmm... seems my 100ohm VR is old and possibly damaged. I had a multimeter monitoring the volts. was on 1.05v. then when i hit 1.35v in AB it "died". I dont know what connection it has to the VR. but the vr in it's broken state was at 2ohms.. which isnt good

If it makes you feel any better, it's the 4th Palit reference card to die in a couple of weeks ...

referencne cards aren't as good as for ex. ASUS DirectCU II, MSI Lightning, Gigabyte SuperOverclock...I hope I will get to LN2 for DirectCU II on the beggining of july...and with Gulfy of coursemy first experience with GPU under extreme cooling

1.35 is too much for reference from the ones i tested, none of them really liked going past 1.3 loaded with higher clocks but for it to die that quick sheesh
