I have the Silverstone Zeus 1200W, when using 2-4870x2 in the middle of a 3d bench it would cut off, bam like someone flipped the switch off. I complained tried to get an RMA about a week and half latter they tell me to switch to single rail or I have to balance the load. How do you balance a load when all PCIE plugs are in use on the 2 video cards? There are no other spots to plug them into. I switched the switch to single rail and it worked so far.

There support sucks, about 3 weeks after the original RMA request they sent me a RMA number even though I had talked to support and switched the switch. I wont buy another silverstone...

Just connect green and and one of black wires together from slave PSU and primary, and rig will power both PSU's same time.

But I would NOT recommend you running two PSU's. If ground connection will break/loose, you will burn you system for sure.

WHat about 24-pin Y-split or something, won't that solve alot of problems?

I think the Antec 1200 model is the one to get from what I've seen. I have the PCP 1200w and it is a good PSU adn has consistently been one of the top 3 on the market at any given time over the years. However, I think that Antec might have a very slight advantage if you're looking for the absolute best. JG only really faulted the Antec over it's 'need' for the remote caps on the Antec - it's a moot point IMO cos the PSU was designed around that filtering being present. The ripple figures on the Antec unit are excellent all round.

I have a Silverstone OP 1000 and a PC Power & Cooling 1200w , the silverstone craps out during heavy loads on the GPUs if crossfire or SLI High end GPUs, the PCP&C Rock stable. I would say the winner between the Silverstone and PCP&C is the PCP&C hands down.

Don't listen marketing BS. All these PSU's are SINGLE rail.

I'd go with PC&P, coz they aren't modular and I like them. But actually you can choose any, they are both nice. Silverstone is OEM Etasis, if I remember correctly.
the ss1500 oem is enhance just like the antec 1200
