haha, yeah, i'll just bump the uncore up to 4.9GHz...why didn't i think of that

sorry Oli, but this chip is dog meat at its finest. limited to 1.425v VTT as setting higher won't POST or instant freezes in Windows. needless to say, at these temps i am limited to 4.2ish uncore.

like you said, 32M'ing at its finest...you can be sure i am squeezing everything out of this setup that i can. the results thread is incoming within the hour...unless another flock of my overclocking groupies show up to my palatial mansion paid for by all the 'free' hardware i get, then the results will be delayed

Did you lads leave the thermal strip on the top of the memory or take it off when attaching the pot?

take it off, all it will do is freeze and break up i would imagine.
