Next time - do not repeat similar size images. If they even was normal quality - maybe then it have some sense, but with such ugly flash-used - no way. Having big camera does not mean having good photos.

I saved pics and removed not to fill thread to load it for ages.

Also I would like to know why your acc is banned on hwbot. PM me here with some words about that, before I will follow any mods research for your card. Understand me right, I spend time only if I get some in return, like extreme people support done right.

Tin,

The mod requests about a 450 GTS is because of a compo.
http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/...ages/1433403/0

Mod request #0004
Which hardware do you need to mod? VGA
Hardware model label? MSI N450GTS Cyclone 1gd5 OC
What do you need? OVP
What VRM controller does your hardware run? NCP5395T / http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Colla...NCP5395T-D.PDF
Describe you issues, why you need that mod? Without msi afterburner it caps at 1.2v vcore, with afterburner at 1.3v core. Need a lot more to get going .
What is stock voltage of VRM output? Stock voltage is 1.062 load

N450GTS Cyclone 1gd5 OC

There is hardwired OVP at trippoint VID DAC + 160 to 210mV. So most easy to set voltage you want is to set that by DAC, via VID0 to VID7 resistor selection.
All info is on pic

Also OCP adjustable is via marked blue resistor

Droop - via resistor between VDRP and VFB, marked nvidia green.

Enjoy.

Datasheet here as stated: http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Colla...NCP5395T-D.PDF

As been discussed on PM:
  • Mod request #0005
  • VGA QuadroFX 4500
  • Unknown, probably reference (hence the nVidia sticker on the cooler)
  • Voltmod/OVP/OCP
  • 6 phase VRM controller ISL6592 http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datashe...L/ISL6592.html
  • There seems to be no easy way to increase the voltage! There is also an OCP on each phase separately, as there are 6 ISEN pins; do I need to make an 'infinite' resistance (read: remove 360/430/360ohm resistors) to disable the OCP? I want to combine 2 of these cards on 1 VRC, since one card has 3 phases, but the VRC can handle up to 6 phases. It will be used as external power supply (to make that, I will make an item in the Zombie mod topic, but first of all, I need to be able to control the voltage without boundaries!). I have a bunch of these things, one has a different VRC, I haven't searched any information on it, since the rest of the circuitry looks the same. So it is probably a similar chip, but from a different manufacturer.
  • Vcore is probably 1.23V, but earlier in the VRM there is 1.35V somewhere. Vmem is around 2.09V. OVP/OCP are unknown since the card died (no BIOS boot, but still a working VRM)
Some other thoughts: the datasheet says somewhere: 120A+, but it that limited by the OCP or will the VRC freak out if I would use 150A?
The voltage is said to be limited to 1.6V. Is this a limit of the VRC or can this be upped with the OVP mod?
Is it even possible to 'just' connect 3 more phases to the chip and have nearly double current?

I uploaded 2 photo's on your FTP
