You guys know what's funny? When Andre did 4m 49.x s still quite early the afternoon - which already is a pretty impressive result - I asked him how many seconds the score could be improved at the RoG camp. He told me that around 4m 45s could be the limit of the setup. So when the session continued and the 32M results became better and better I think it was quite a surprise for all of us including Andre that we did see a new 32M world record that day. But that is the kind of surprise we all like, right?

However there were two other surprises of the kind overclockers don't like that much. The first was the torch SoF bought locally. Everytime the flame was aligned towards the container the flame just went out. However one time there was a jet of flame which was a bit scary. Secondly, the hairdryer Andre used to warm up the PSU ATX connector draw a lot of energy so the fuse blew out two times at the location and he always had to ponder between a) blowing out the fuse another time or b) risking a electrical short of the hardware. But in the end it was c) establishing a new Super Pi 32M world record.

As PC Games Hardware was the print and online media partner for this ASUS event (and is for another upcoming RoG camp in January ) we have a summary with a lot of great pictures online. You guys can have a look at the original German version or try the English version powered by Google translation (and you know what that means^^).

The run before WR - if my weather forecasts would be as exact as my 32m time predictions I would never forget my umbrella
