NB-1 on a REX issue!

Hey Vince and everybody else.

Ive just bought the nb-1 and the extention for the gemini, but I have one q:

Mounting the NB-1 on the mobo, do I need to take off the complete stock cooling(nb, sb, mosfets etc)? Or can I just take of the nb sink and put the pot on the nb base sink? (leaving the heatsinks and pipes for the rest of mobo on).

Not sure if I have used the right words to explain the issue. I need to figure this out very soon couse I plan to do some ln2 benching early april :)

Thnx in advance for the answers given:)

you don't want to cool the whole board...

i suggest removing the mobo heatsink...

and use independent heatsinks on the vregs(cpu and nb).. and southbridge

yah dude, remove that whole heatsink assemblyand sink all the fets seperately then mount the cooler right to the board.

Hey Billy.

I cant understand what it says on Ur site:(. Tried using google translator, but no luck finding out what U have used for the different chips etc. I can see on one or two of the pictures that U have used a copper sink on the top of mobo and on the left side of the cpu. But I still need to find the right ones to use... U mind?:).
I cant say with words how noobish this is but if I just had the mobo where I am there would be no probs.

Enzotech MST-81, two of those will take care of the CPU VRM. Looks like FrozenCPU has a few left.

Hey again...

I ended up buying this @ frozencpu:
2x Enzo Tech MSt81 for mosfetīs
1x Enxo Tech SLF-1 for sb
Some thermal pads
mos c1 for mosfets
bmr-c1
and some thermal tape.

Thnx again all that have helped me out on this one:)
